Dear Friends and Patrons,

In this, my first newsletter, I want to share with you two exciting - at least for me - developments; my new website and a show at the Lawrence Gallery.

When I started writing this letter, the snow was unrelenting in Central Oregon, and there seemed to be no end in sight. The cloud formations over the Three Sisters were truly spectacular. It's now a couple weeks later and a new year. The accumulated snow has all but disappeared, washed away by warm rains. It has been two years since I came to central Oregon, and I often pause to give thanks for being in such a beautiful part of the country.

A lot has happened since I arrived here, such as making a new friend in Phil Gerber who has helped me design my website and implemented all the technology that goes with it. His expertise has freed me up to work on my passion which is painting. I invite you to visit my site at www.susankoch.com

I recently completed five new paintings for a show at the Lawrence Gallery in Sheridan, Oregon. I am a featured artist and my paintings will be on display throughout the month of January. As you can see, I enjoyed the Artist's Reception and the wine at the gallery last Sunday. If you get the chance, I hope you can visit the gallery to see all my paintings on display. Did I mention they're for sale.
